Cause
Your notebook battery has been drained completely and is not being detected correctly.
Solution(s)
Your notebook's battery controller will need to be reset. To do so:

You can now use your notebook normally again.

Additional Notes
Under normal usage this problem should not occur, only under certain conditions can the battery become completely drained. These conditions are:
1. Hibernate mode, when placed in this state a small amount of power is drawn from the battery, if left for a long period of time (several days) the battery can become completely drained.
Please note: Windows can be configured to enter hibernate mode when the lid is closed.
2. If all the power saving options in Windows (Start - Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - Power Options) are disabled then the notebook will continue to operate until the battery is completely drained.
3. If the notebook is not used for a long period of time (several weeks) the battery can also be completely drained.
